Dyon Moore (Skyhawk '06)
Dyon
Moore started his football career with the Brooklyn Skyhawks at the age
of 5 years old where he played for 11 years on both sides of the field.
He played 2 years at Hudson Catholic HS (Jersey City, NJ) where he
started as the middle linebacker. In 2006 he was elected as a Captain
and finished his senior year with 55 tackles, 3 sacks and 3 fumble
recoveries leading the team to a 6-4 record and state tournament play.
Moore went on to William Patterson University where he had a stellar sophomore season where he started all 10 games and led the team with 66 tackles, 14 tackles –for-loss, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles ,4 fumble recoveries and 2 defensive TDs (one for 60-yards and one for 50 yards). In his junior year, Moore had 61 tackles (25 solo, 11.5 TFL, 1.0 sack) and a fumble forced while starting in six of nine games; he was ranked 11th in the NJAC in tackles-for-loss (1.28 per game) and 17th in tackles/game (6.8). He had a season-best 10 stops and forced a fumble against Rowan. Four of his nine tackles at Montclair State were for a loss and also had nine stops during a victory at Morrisville State.
Moore finished his senior year in college (2010) with 63 tackles (23 solo) and has earned an invite to the 2010 DII/DIII Metrodome All-American Bowl being played on December 18th.
In his college career, Moore has accumulated 190 stops (77 solo, 33 TFL, 7.5 sacks) and has compiled five fumbles forced and four recovered.
Achievements
• Earned first-team all-Hudson County and all-conference honors in 2006 (Hudson Catholic HS)
• Selected to the All-NJAC Second Team for 3 consecutive years (2008-2010 - William Paterson University)
• Named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week (2008-William Paterson University)

Three NYCYFL Alumni Succeeding At The Taft School
Three former NYCYFL players are currently juniors at The Taft School, in Watertown, CT.
Jordon Stone, Frankie Benavides, and Jackson McGonagle are all 2 way starters and members of the Taft School class of 2012.
Frankie Benavides (NG/FB) and Jordon Stone (DE/OT) have been at Taft for a few years, having played, before enrolling at Taft, in the Queens Falcons organization. Both Frankie and Jordon are Tri-Captains for the Taft 2011 team next Fall.
Jackson McGonagle (CB/WR) just completed his first year at Taft, after having been a 2 year Intermediate All Star in the NYCYFL. Jackson played his first year (2008) in the NYCYFL for the Downtown Giants, and then in 2009 for the Queens Falcons.

Chaz Williams (Skyhawk '04)
Chaz
Williams (Skyhawk '04) will be continuing his collegiate basketball
career at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) in the 2011-2012
season. Chaz has to sit out one season due to his transfer from Hofstra
University.
During his freshman season for the Hofstra Pride, Chaz, a 5'9" 175 lb point guard was a blur for opponents and had the following stats:
- led team in assists with 138
- 2nd on team in scoring with 9.8 avg.
- 2nd on team in steals with 54
- avg over 31 minutes per game
Chaz came to Hofstra after a stellar career at Bishop Ford HS. Chaz was the face of the program for 3 years. Chaz led the Falcons to back-to-back appearances in the CHSAA ClassA intersectional title game and had an outstanding career:
- 4 year starter
- Graduated as the 2nd leading scorer in Bishop Ford history
- Avg. 25.9 pts and 6.2 assista as a senior
- Named a Jordan Brand All-American
- 1st All State (Class A) by NYS Sportwriters Association
- 2nd team All-City by NY Daily News
During his Skyhawk days, Chaz was a very smart and proficient QB. He was instrumental in leading his Pee Wee and Bantam teams to the Championship Game. Chaz's game-breaking abilities were truly missed by the Skyhawk Bantams in 2005 when he elected to solely concentrate on basketball. Chaz went on to have great success at Bishop Ford and we know we'll hear more from him in the near future.

Omar Epps (Skyhawk '86)
Omar
Epps (Skyhawk '86) recently won an NAACP Image award for Outstanding
Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2007for his role as Dr. Eric
Foreman in the TV series "House, M.D." This is the second time Omar has
played a doctor. Many remember him as Dr. Dennis Gant on the hit show
"ER" in the late 1990's.
Omar also formed a production company, Brooklyn Works Films, which is producing the films "love Can't hide" and "Serenity Falls". Omar is serving as writer, producer and star of these films.
A couple of years ago, Omar was highlighted in the March 2004 issue of Muscle & Fitness magazine. In the Hotline section, Omar discussed his workout regimen for his role in the movie "Against the Ropes". Omar played Luther Shaw, a street fighter who was managed by pioneering female boxing promoter Jackie Kallen. Ms. Kallen's role was played by the multi-award nominated actress Meg Ryan.
Omar also co-starred in the movie "Alfie" later on that year.
In addition to his acting roles, Omar is also the voice for character "O.E." in the video game "Def Jam Fight for NY".
Omar was a standout running back and linebacker for the SKYHAWKS from 1981 - 1986. He was very instrumental in the SKYHAWKS advancement to various chanpionship games for the Jr. Pee Wee thru Midget teams.
Omar gave up football after 1986 season to concentrate on his passion for acting and was selected for admission at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art and the Performing Arts in NYC.

Terence Davis (Skyhawk '02)
Terence
Davis (Skyhawk '02) will begin his reshirt sophomore season at Wake
Forest University. The 6'1" 180 lb. Davis will be battling for playing
time at WR for the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest University is a member of
the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Terence suffered a torn ACL in
preseason practice last year and missed the entire 2009 season and all
of spring practice in 2010. Terence has since recovered from his injury
and is competing for playing time in 2010. As a senior, Terence played
both quarterback and defensive back at Brookwood HS in Georgia and
helped to lead his team into the second round of the 2007 State
playoffs. His team spent 15 weeks in the state top 10 rankings and ended
with a 14-1 record.
Terence spent the 2006 season at wide receiver but was asked to step in at QB his senior year. during his 3 varsity seasons at Brookwood, he helped the Broncos to win three (3) Region 8-5A championships. Terence also was a prominent member of the track team in claiming the 2006 state title in the high jump (6'8"), which earned him All-Metro honors from the Atlanta Track Club.
Before his family relocated to Georgia, many Skyhawk fans remember Terence as a standout QB as he helped lead the Pee Wees to an undefeated season in 2002. He and current Hudson Catholic HS (N.J.) standout, Jason Hendricks (see profile below) , hooked up for a remarkable 60 yard pass in the closing seconds which sealed the championship for the Skyhawks. We wish Terence the best in his career. Make us Proud!!!
Dyon Moore (Skyhawk '04)
Dyon
Moore (Skyhawk '04), a 6'2" 260 lbs senior defensive end for William
Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, is looking to pick up where he left
off last season when he was again named to the New Jersey Athletic
Conference Defensive Team (2nd Team).
Dyon has started on the defensive line for the past two seasons for the Pioneers and was able to garner the following stats for his career so far:
- Started 16 of 19 games for the Pioneers
- Led the team with 127 tackles and was the team leader with 25.5 tackles for loss
- Recorded 6 sacks and forced 5 fumbles
- Scored 2 tds, both fumble recoveries and returned for over 50 yards each
- Named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week on 9/10/08.
- Twice named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Football Defensive Player of the Week
- Named Team Defensive Player of the Year
Dyon came to William Paterson University after a stellar high school career at Hudson Catholic (Jersy City, NJ). Dyon was captain of the team his senior year and finished with 55 tackles, three sacks and three fumble recoveries. Dyon earned 1st team All Hudson County and All-Conference honors in 2006 while leading his team to a 6-4 record and the 1st round of the State playoffs. We wish Dyon continued success in his career. Jason Hendricks (Skyhawk '04)
Jason
Hendricks (Skyhawk '04), will enter his redshirt freshman season at the
University of Pittsburgh this fall. Jason is projected to play a key
role as a defensive back for the Panthers during the 2010 season. He is
currently listed as the #2 Free Safety on the depth chart. Jason (6'1"
190 lbs) was a three (3) year starter for the Hudson Catholic HS (Jersey
City, NJ) Hawks.
For his efforts, Jason received the following honors/awards during the 2008 season:
- Rushed for 1,790 yards
- Collected 110 tackles on defense
- Second leading scorer in New Jersey (all Groups) with 28 touchdowns
- Named to The Star Legder All-New Jersey Non-Public Team
- Hudson County Football Coaches Association Player of the Year and Offensive Back of the Year
- The Star Ledger Hudson County Player of the Year
- Hudson Reporter All-Area and Area's Most Valuable Player
Jason and the Hawks reached the Non-Public Group II Championship game vs the Holy Cross HS (Delran, NJ). Unfortunately Hudson Catholic played a tough game vs the Lancers and loss by a score of 7-0. This marked the 1st time in school history that they reached a State Championship game. In 2007, Jason led his team in rushing with over 900 yards and scored 10 tds. On defense, Jason anchored the Hawks secondary with his tough hitting and ball-hawking abilities. Jason was named the Madison Square Garden Network Player of the Week for his performance in Hudson Catholic's win over perennial NJ Group 4 power Elizabeth High School. For his efforts, Jason was also named 1st team All-Hudson County RB by the Jersey Journal and Star Ledger. Jason competed on the track team during his junior year and has run the 55 meter dash in 6.50 seconds.
As a Skyhawk, Jason helped to lead his teams to four chamionship games from his Jr. Pee Wee years through his Midget years. Jason will forever be remembered for his performance in the 2002 Championship game when he caught a short pass from QB Terence Davis (see profile above) and sprinted 60 yards for the winning tochdown with under a minute left in the game. That completed an Undefeated season for the Pee Wees. We wish Jason continued success in his upcoming career at the University of Pittsburgh. Make Us Proud!!!
Lansfo
rd Watson (Skyhawk '03)
Lansford Watson (Skyhawk '03) has been impressive during the preseason and should be an offensive weapon when the University of Maryland begins its 2009 campaign. Lansford (6'3" 260 lbs) plays TE for the Terps and should also contend for All-ACC honors this season. He has been selected a preseason fourth team all-league choice by Phil Steele's preview. As a redshirt freshman during 2008, Lansford played in all 13 games, and had 10 catches for 115 yards and scored 1 TD. Lansford posted a career high five (5) receptions for 31 yards vs Boston College on 11/29/08. At the conclusion of his high school career, Lansford was selected to in the US Army All-American Bowl Game. This game showcases the top players from around the country. Lansford was a WR/LB for the Abraham Lincoln H.S. (Brooklyn, NY)Railsplitters. The game was played at the Alamodome located in San Antonio, Tx. on Jan. 6, 2007 and was televised on NBC. During the 2005 season, Lansford recorded 837 receiving yards for 11 tds. Lansford had garnered many preseason honors and was featured in various magazines such as Sporting News High School, Athlon Football Publication and Street and Smith College Football Yearbook. Leon Williams (Skyhawk '95)
Leon Williams (Skyhawk '95), is entering his 4th season in the NFL. He
signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010 as a reserve Middle Linebacker.
Prior to his time in Dallas, Leon was a member of the Cleveland Browns.
During his stint with the Cleveland Browns (2006 - 2008), Leon achieved the following:
- recorded 166 tackles
- had Five sacks
- had seven pass break-ups
- played in 46 games and started in 12
- had a career high 17 tackles in a game vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2006
Leon, a former starting linebacker at the University of Miami, was selected in the 4th round of the 2006 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.
Leon stopped by the field during the offseason to speak with the players and coaches before heading back to camp. Good luck Leon and we wish you all the best in your future. MAKE US PROUD!!!
Benjamin Lemon (Bayside Raiders 2001)
Susquehanna University '11, Salisbury School '07
Benjamin Le’mon was a standout for the Raiders in the 2001 season playing both Guard and Middle Linebacker. He helped lead the Raiders team to the playoffs that year with his exceptional play and work ethic on and off the field. Being an excellent student as well as a superior athlete afforded him the opportunity to go to Salisbury Prep in Connecticut. Currently Benjamin plays RB at Susquehana University.
Jonathan Eustache (Bayside Raiders 2009)
St Paul’s High School –Concord, NH
Jonathan was a league standout in the NYCYFL in 2009. A Defensive Lineman of the Year finalist, Jonathan used his exceptional speed and power to become a stand out player for the Raiders in his first year of playing organized football. Jonathan took his superior athletic ability as well as his intelligence to the elite St. Paul’s HS in Concord New Hampshire. He currently plays running back and is also a standout on their track team.
Jonathan Strong (Bayside Raiders ('99- '02)
Salisbury Prep School, S Connecticut St
Jonathan Strong was one of the greatest NYCYFL players of all time. Jonathan started playing football in the league at 9 years old, playing with 11-12 years old players and starting because of his exceptional ability. At the age of 10 he came to the Bayside Raiders and led that team to their first Junior Pee Wee Division Championship ever. Winning countless league awards for his outstanding play and excelling in the classroom allowed Jonathan to enter into Salisbury Prep School in Connecticut where he played Fullback and Linebacker and was a star on their Wrestling team. Top Tier Liberal Arts Colleges such as Hamilton College wanted Jonathan for his athletics as well as his academics, but Jonathan took his skills to Southern Connecticut. Jonathan will be playing Linebacker this year for Southern Connecticut State.
Erik Anderwkavich (Bayside Raiders ('99 - '01)
Holy Cross 2009, Hancock College Junior College, CW Post 2012
Erik Anderwkavich was one of the CHSAA (New York City Catholic High School League) best QBs in the last decade. Erik started playing football for the Bayside Raiders when he was 11 and immediately had an impact, playing QB and CB for the Pee Wee Division Champions in 1999. He then was a key component on the 2001 Bantam Championship Team. Erik went on to have a successful career at Holy Cross High School leading the Holy Cross Knights to within one game of the city championship. Erik starred in the Boomer Esiason Game (NYC vs. Long Island) with a dominating performance. Erik took his talents to Hancock College where in his final year he rushed and passed for over a thousand yards. He currently is the starting QB at CW Post College.
Nyles Bynum (Bayside Raiders 1999-2002)

Nyles Bynum is an inspirational person as well as a player. Nyles started playing football with the Bayside Raiders in 1999. He also was a member of the 1999 Junior Pee Wee Championship Team showcasing his versaltility at Cornerback, Running Back, Tight End, and Wide Receiver. Consistency was what made Nyles a great football player. After his career with the Raiders, he took his talents to the new Jamaica HS football team where he excelled at Wide Receiver and Cornerback. Being an excellent student Nyles also had plenty of opportunities to go to many different colleges, but he decided to walk on at Division-1 Temple University. The coaches recognized the same traits that Nyles had as a youth and he earned a full football scholarship in 2008. There is no coincidence that Nyles presence on the team is aligned with Temple’s first bowl appearance in 30 years. You might have seen him making the key block for the Temple Owl’s TD in the bowl game. As always, good things happen when Nyles is on the field.
Jordan Triantafilidis (Bayside Raiders '01)

Jordan started his career with the Bayside Raiders in 2001 where he played on the offensive line. His only year with the Raiders was enough for him to go to Holy Cross High School and play three years before a knee injury ended his HS Playing career. But it did not stop his love for the game. Jordan now is a coach for the Holy Cross High School JV team. He is currently a Bio-Chemical Engineering Major at NY Tech.

Juan Restrepo is a true renaissance man. After his successful Bayside Raider career where he played LB and CB, Juan decided he wanted to give back to the organization that gave him so much. Juan took on the task of helping to build the new Raider Junior Pee Wee Team by becoming their Defensive Coach at age 19. Within 2 years, Juan helped take a fledgling team to the 1999 Pee Wee Championship. He was not done as he also coached the 2001 Bantam Championship Team. Juan stopped coaching his senior year of college to concentrate on his degree. After his undergraduate degree was completed Juan went on to Brooklyn Law where he graduated. He now is a practicing attorney in the Bronx.

Dyon came to William Paterson University after a stellar high school career at Hudson Catholic (Jersy City, NJ). Dyon was captain of the team his senior year and finished with 55 tackles, three sacks and three fumble recoveries. Dyon earned 1st team All Hudson County and All-Conference honors in 2006 while leading his team to a 6-4 record and the 1st round of the State playoffs. We wish Dyon continued success in his career. Jason Hendricks (Skyhawk '04)
Jason
Hendricks (Skyhawk '04), will enter his redshirt freshman season at the
University of Pittsburgh this fall. Jason is projected to play a key
role as a defensive back for the Panthers during the 2010 season. He is
currently listed as the #2 Free Safety on the depth chart. Jason (6'1"
190 lbs) was a three (3) year starter for the Hudson Catholic HS (Jersey
City, NJ) Hawks. For his efforts, Jason received the following honors/awards during the 2008 season:
- Rushed for 1,790 yards
- Collected 110 tackles on defense
- Second leading scorer in New Jersey (all Groups) with 28 touchdowns
- Named to The Star Legder All-New Jersey Non-Public Team
- Hudson County Football Coaches Association Player of the Year and Offensive Back of the Year
- The Star Ledger Hudson County Player of the Year
- Hudson Reporter All-Area and Area's Most Valuable Player
Jason and the Hawks reached the Non-Public Group II Championship game vs the Holy Cross HS (Delran, NJ). Unfortunately Hudson Catholic played a tough game vs the Lancers and loss by a score of 7-0. This marked the 1st time in school history that they reached a State Championship game. In 2007, Jason led his team in rushing with over 900 yards and scored 10 tds. On defense, Jason anchored the Hawks secondary with his tough hitting and ball-hawking abilities. Jason was named the Madison Square Garden Network Player of the Week for his performance in Hudson Catholic's win over perennial NJ Group 4 power Elizabeth High School. For his efforts, Jason was also named 1st team All-Hudson County RB by the Jersey Journal and Star Ledger. Jason competed on the track team during his junior year and has run the 55 meter dash in 6.50 seconds.
As a Skyhawk, Jason helped to lead his teams to four chamionship games from his Jr. Pee Wee years through his Midget years. Jason will forever be remembered for his performance in the 2002 Championship game when he caught a short pass from QB Terence Davis (see profile above) and sprinted 60 yards for the winning tochdown with under a minute left in the game. That completed an Undefeated season for the Pee Wees. We wish Jason continued success in his upcoming career at the University of Pittsburgh. Make Us Proud!!!

rd Watson (Skyhawk '03)Lansford Watson (Skyhawk '03) has been impressive during the preseason and should be an offensive weapon when the University of Maryland begins its 2009 campaign. Lansford (6'3" 260 lbs) plays TE for the Terps and should also contend for All-ACC honors this season. He has been selected a preseason fourth team all-league choice by Phil Steele's preview. As a redshirt freshman during 2008, Lansford played in all 13 games, and had 10 catches for 115 yards and scored 1 TD. Lansford posted a career high five (5) receptions for 31 yards vs Boston College on 11/29/08. At the conclusion of his high school career, Lansford was selected to in the US Army All-American Bowl Game. This game showcases the top players from around the country. Lansford was a WR/LB for the Abraham Lincoln H.S. (Brooklyn, NY)Railsplitters. The game was played at the Alamodome located in San Antonio, Tx. on Jan. 6, 2007 and was televised on NBC. During the 2005 season, Lansford recorded 837 receiving yards for 11 tds. Lansford had garnered many preseason honors and was featured in various magazines such as Sporting News High School, Athlon Football Publication and Street and Smith College Football Yearbook. Leon Williams (Skyhawk '95)
Leon Williams (Skyhawk '95), is entering his 4th season in the NFL. He
signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010 as a reserve Middle Linebacker.
Prior to his time in Dallas, Leon was a member of the Cleveland Browns.
During his stint with the Cleveland Browns (2006 - 2008), Leon achieved the following:
- recorded 166 tackles
- had Five sacks
- had seven pass break-ups
- played in 46 games and started in 12
- had a career high 17 tackles in a game vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2006
Leon, a former starting linebacker at the University of Miami, was selected in the 4th round of the 2006 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.

Benjamin Lemon (Bayside Raiders 2001)

Benjamin Le’mon was a standout for the Raiders in the 2001 season playing both Guard and Middle Linebacker. He helped lead the Raiders team to the playoffs that year with his exceptional play and work ethic on and off the field. Being an excellent student as well as a superior athlete afforded him the opportunity to go to Salisbury Prep in Connecticut. Currently Benjamin plays RB at Susquehana University.
Jonathan Eustache (Bayside Raiders 2009)
St Paul’s High School –Concord, NHJonathan was a league standout in the NYCYFL in 2009. A Defensive Lineman of the Year finalist, Jonathan used his exceptional speed and power to become a stand out player for the Raiders in his first year of playing organized football. Jonathan took his superior athletic ability as well as his intelligence to the elite St. Paul’s HS in Concord New Hampshire. He currently plays running back and is also a standout on their track team.
Jonathan Strong (Bayside Raiders ('99- '02)
Salisbury Prep School, S Connecticut StJonathan Strong was one of the greatest NYCYFL players of all time. Jonathan started playing football in the league at 9 years old, playing with 11-12 years old players and starting because of his exceptional ability. At the age of 10 he came to the Bayside Raiders and led that team to their first Junior Pee Wee Division Championship ever. Winning countless league awards for his outstanding play and excelling in the classroom allowed Jonathan to enter into Salisbury Prep School in Connecticut where he played Fullback and Linebacker and was a star on their Wrestling team. Top Tier Liberal Arts Colleges such as Hamilton College wanted Jonathan for his athletics as well as his academics, but Jonathan took his skills to Southern Connecticut. Jonathan will be playing Linebacker this year for Southern Connecticut State.
Erik Anderwkavich (Bayside Raiders ('99 - '01)
Holy Cross 2009, Hancock College Junior College, CW Post 2012Erik Anderwkavich was one of the CHSAA (New York City Catholic High School League) best QBs in the last decade. Erik started playing football for the Bayside Raiders when he was 11 and immediately had an impact, playing QB and CB for the Pee Wee Division Champions in 1999. He then was a key component on the 2001 Bantam Championship Team. Erik went on to have a successful career at Holy Cross High School leading the Holy Cross Knights to within one game of the city championship. Erik starred in the Boomer Esiason Game (NYC vs. Long Island) with a dominating performance. Erik took his talents to Hancock College where in his final year he rushed and passed for over a thousand yards. He currently is the starting QB at CW Post College.
Nyles Bynum (Bayside Raiders 1999-2002)
Jamaica HS 2007, Temple University 2011Nyles Bynum is an inspirational person as well as a player. Nyles started playing football with the Bayside Raiders in 1999. He also was a member of the 1999 Junior Pee Wee Championship Team showcasing his versaltility at Cornerback, Running Back, Tight End, and Wide Receiver. Consistency was what made Nyles a great football player. After his career with the Raiders, he took his talents to the new Jamaica HS football team where he excelled at Wide Receiver and Cornerback. Being an excellent student Nyles also had plenty of opportunities to go to many different colleges, but he decided to walk on at Division-1 Temple University. The coaches recognized the same traits that Nyles had as a youth and he earned a full football scholarship in 2008. There is no coincidence that Nyles presence on the team is aligned with Temple’s first bowl appearance in 30 years. You might have seen him making the key block for the Temple Owl’s TD in the bowl game. As always, good things happen when Nyles is on the field.
Jordan Triantafilidis (Bayside Raiders '01)
Jordan Triantafilidis (Bayside Raiders 2001)Jordan started his career with the Bayside Raiders in 2001 where he played on the offensive line. His only year with the Raiders was enough for him to go to Holy Cross High School and play three years before a knee injury ended his HS Playing career. But it did not stop his love for the game. Jordan now is a coach for the Holy Cross High School JV team. He is currently a Bio-Chemical Engineering Major at NY Tech.
Juan Restrepo (Bayside Raiders 92-96)

Jamaica High School 97, Fordham University 01, Brooklyn Law School 05Juan Restrepo is a true renaissance man. After his successful Bayside Raider career where he played LB and CB, Juan decided he wanted to give back to the organization that gave him so much. Juan took on the task of helping to build the new Raider Junior Pee Wee Team by becoming their Defensive Coach at age 19. Within 2 years, Juan helped take a fledgling team to the 1999 Pee Wee Championship. He was not done as he also coached the 2001 Bantam Championship Team. Juan stopped coaching his senior year of college to concentrate on his degree. After his undergraduate degree was completed Juan went on to Brooklyn Law where he graduated. He now is a practicing attorney in the Bronx.
